Digital catalogue – Mould construction assistant

HASCO's proven modular system has simplified many projects in mouldmaking and tool design. The mould construction assistant in our digital catalogue uses precisely this principle to make your mould design projects even easier.

With this assistant, you can configure a complete basic construction quickly and efficiently to obtain guide prices for your next tooling project. Or you can transfer the data directly to the HASCO 3D universal module for complete model construction.

After entering the key parameters, the assistant takes over the job of putting together all the necessary accessory guiding and fixing elements. You can then add further products to the shopping basket, or change items – for example convert individual K-plates to undrilled P-plates – and finally submit the assembly of parts as an order.

The assistant in action

You will find the assistant in the menu for the product selection under "mould construction square":

Fig. 1: Start the assistant by clicking on "mould construction square".

After opening the assistant, you merely have to choose one of six predefined standard mould designs. There are variants with a back-up plate or more complex examples with two parting lines.

Fig. 2: You can choose from various predefined mould samples.

When you have selected your mould unit, you go to the plate overview. There you select the desired mould size with the button "change mould size", after which you are asked, step by step, about the individual plates required.

Fig. 3: The mould symbol serves as an orientation for the present configuration level – in this example we see the clamping plate on the fixed mould half.

The filter options "plate type" and "material" limit the extensive range of HASCO plates to provide greater clarity.

Confirm the desired plate by double-clicking the price.

Once you have selected the last plate – in the above picture it’s the moving half clamp plate, you have the opportunity to specify the number of moulds.

The last step involves the automatic assembly of the accessory elements to produce a complete mould unit. Within a few seconds, the digital catalogue compiles a list of the products in your shopping basket including all the list prices.
